I sent Paperchase some samples of the vintage toys, metrosexual and birthday boy/girl cards. Just got letter back from their buyer saying they felt the designs are very strong and have potential to be successful in the marketplace, however the style of the bold colours i used is similar to a range of cards they have from a large publisher so despite the designs being striking it wouldn't be viable for Paperchase to source them.

They told me from my work its seems I have been on a very successful graphic design course.

Hi Mateau

Brilliant fresh designs and colours.I love the cropping on front. Does the design spill onto the back? Not to worry about paperchase, reckons they are too tame for you anyway!

Good job

They should have just sent you the reply written inside of of your 'Sorry But...' cards.

But yeah, don't loose heart... I know a couple of guys who have been trying for years to get chains like Paperchase and John Lewis to take their card designs.
