Display case thickness

Been trying to order a 5 sided clear acrylic display case to display my cards in the show. The measurements are going to be 500 high x 700 wide x 700 deep.

I'm having problems with the thickness, for these measurement, every company are saying it has to be at least 6-8mm thick so it doesn't break, but ideally David sujested getting 4mm or less. Spoke to a member of Solutions Acrylic & Display Ltd and was told 4mm may be ok for a weeks show, but could well bend or break. He has giving me a quote of £160 for it made in 5mm, but not sure if its safer to go for 6mm. This company is the only one so far who can actually get this to me by June 5th if i order it by wednesday, anyone has any ideas on best size to go for?

Emailed some images to Magma, they said to send in some actual samples as they can't make orders via images or descriptions alone. They also mailed me a form to fill in thats explains that all the direct sales products they carry are taken on a sale or return basis, usually with a 45% discount from the retail price (50% for items with VAT). Also says they usually take 4- 6 weeks to contact you after you send your samples in.

Ive also found a really good company who design and distribute fresh, contemporary greeting cards. They allow people to mail in jpegs of their designs with the possiblity of purchasing or license of design or ideas, so will be mailing them some this weekend.

Some Toy cards re done

I sent Paperchase some samples of the vintage toys, metrosexual and birthday boy/girl cards. Just got letter back from their buyer saying they felt the designs are very strong and have potential to be successful in the marketplace, however the style of the bold colours i used is similar to a range of cards they have from a large publisher so despite the designs being striking it wouldn't be viable for Paperchase to source them.

They told me from my work its seems I have been on a very successful graphic design course.

Please, thanks, sorry: wedding invite & RSVP cards

Getting away from the formal language used in most wedding invitations, the main side of the invite just says 'please come' with the RSVP saying 'thanks, love to' and 'sorry, but...' , revealing the basic purpose of the invite and RSVP cards.

Photos are awful but...

Did some test prints today. Here are a few of the greetings, each packaged with an envelope and sealed in a cello bag. Actually turned out really well, dispite looking abit naff due to my camera phone.

Also booked the photostudio for the 16th to take some shots of all my work.
